USA Mock Admissions Workshop:
Boston College, Emory University, Tufts University, and the University of Miami
Ever wondered what really happens inside the highly selective college admissions process? We invite all high school students and parents to attend this “Who Gets In and Why? Mock Admissions Night” program.
Participants will have the opportunity to view representative applications and experience what it is like to make the decision whether a student should be admitted, wait listed or denied to a highly selective US university. Admissions officers from the universities mentioned will lead the session and provide a chance to experience the type of examination and decision making that is involved in each application review. This experience provides families with a unique opportunity to witness the complexities inherent in the admissions process. Families can see the value of well-written essays, detailed letters of recommendations, meaningful activities as well as the weight carried by curriculum, grades and test scores. The program is very interactive and is a Must see for anyone curious about the holistic application review which is the hallmark of most U.S. colleges and universities.
Note: Although this event is being held at Nido, it is open to the public (prospective students and their families).
